Mahindra fans might not like this very much

I filmed this review at the beginning of my week-long test of the Mahindra XUV300, and it was probably a good thing I did. Otherwise, I would have been far more critical. When I tested the previous model, there were far fewer rivals, but now, unfortunately for this car, the rivals are aplenty and they are darn good. This XUV300 just doesn’t cut it. I wish I could say differently. It has a few good points, but I could not, in good conscience, recommend this over its competitors. The compact SUV segment is just too popular with too many options. The Stop/Start system on this car is appalling. I wish Mahindra would give up and take it out. It makes no difference being able to turn it off because you would have to do that every time you turned the car on. It sucks! I know I will get a lot of hateful comments from this review, but I stand by my reviews. I have been doing this job for a long time, a lot longer than most of the people who will probably comment. I drive a different car every single week and when one stands out as being below average, you must know that I am talking from experience. But, have your say, I am happy to hear your thoughts. Just be kind.

A car I love, though, is that of the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro.
