A good resale value is something I have always thought to be right at the top of my list of reasons to buy a certain car. I have come to realise that this is not of importance to every one, but I think it should be.

I came across an article on IOL this morning about this very topic and thought that I should share what I read. Now it is not my research and from what I know (from my millions of years of experience is this industry, obviously) is that the Volkswagen Polo Vivo and Polo are two cars with the highest resale value in their respective segments.

But according to this IOL article, a fella by the name of Darryl Jacobson who is the managing director of True Pricesays that the car with the best resale value in the country is, in fact, the Renault Kwid. To be fair, I was talking about segments and not the whole of the country.

Jacobson took data pertaining to the cars that are sold on the True Price website, analysed it, and came up with a list of the top 10 cars with the best resale value. Want to know what they are? Right, here we go:

3. Volkswagen Polo

5. Kia Rio

Yup, a few surprises for me too there. But it is interesting, right? Again, I stress, these are not based on anything I have researched…I am merely quoting another article. But what is your experience? Have you found these cars to have the best resale value? Holla at a sista and let me know.
